These two courses are designed for San Miguel students who need to earn credits for up to two semesters of World History.
While these are online courses, most of the coursework can be done at home or at school using online readings and the assignments that are available online.
Besides accomplishing the assignments, you must pass the final exam, given at school, in order to obtain credit.
How the Courses Operate
- You must register with the San Miguel Guidance Department.
- Send Mr. Moskal your email address by sending him a short message to say hello!
- Each course is $110 – please make check payable to San Miguel High School or you may pay using cash.
- You may give the check to the main office.
- Each course runs from June 13 to July 22, 2011.
- The readings and assignments for the courses are found on the website. They are .pdf files. You read these files with Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is free, and found on almost every computer.
- You will need a computer connected to the Internet, You may use the computers at school or at a public library, or your own home computer. You also must have an email address.
- You may take World History A or World History B or both courses if you need them.
- Read the assigned chapters and complete the required assignments on time. Each course has six assignments that are due every Friday.
- Assignments may be sent back to Mr. Moskal via e-mail or turned into the front office at school before noon on the Friday that it is due.
- There will be an online “scoreboard” to help you and the instructor keep track of assignments.
- Assignments are graded satisfactory or unsatisfactory and unsatisfactory assignments will be returned to you for correction or completion.
- The last assignment is due the day before the final exam
You cannot take the final exam if you do not accomplish the coursework, and therefore, you will not earn credit.
- The final exams are given at school.
- You must pass the final exam to earn your credit(s).
